Chemnitz Travel fair - Let´s get into the City of modernity!

The approx. 850 years old industrial city Chemnitz at the gate to Erzgebirge is the third biggest city in the new East German States. It is situated in central Europe and with its excellent infrastructure connection the city has brilliant conditions regarding its location especially for automotive industry and engineering.

Today Chemnitz presents itself as "City of Modernity". Since 1990 it has been developed to a competitive technology location where science and economy are working together closely.

Art and culture are also modern. Modern architecture builds a bridge to highlights of classic modernity, Bauhaus and Art Nouveau (Jugendstil). Gems like Villa Esche are also a part of this art just as the Wilhelminian style buildings of Kaßberg or the reconstructed castle district. Furthermore attractive shopping options and beautiful park areas allure visitors.

Sachsen-Allee Chemnitz is one of the most beautiful shopping centres in Saxony. The direct catchment area includes about 615 000 inhabitants of city and surrounding area. Because of its perfect location and excellent traffic connection with highway B 169 and B 174 you can reach the centre very well. Parking in one of about 2000 parking spaces is free of charge.
