Directly downtown between the Old Market and the Wall Street in 2002 has been opened the modern shopping mall and in 2011 the extension of further 18 000 m² sales area. On 62 000 m² sales area more than 200 specialist stores are offering their clients a wide variety and diversity of goods.

A lot of cafés and restaurants load to the stay. Different kinds of events are forming a varied and interesting program for the visitors of the shopping mall.

The excellent integration of the Altmarkt-Galerie in the Old town of Dresden has been appreciated by several international awards. In December of 2004 the Altmarkt-Galerie got the “Certificate of Merit” and a popular price in the category “innovative design and construction of a new shopping mall”.

On reason of the good traffic connection more than 1 million people are part of the catchment area. 

The Altmarkt-Galerie is the first address for more than 1 million habitants of Dresden and surroundings. By car it is easiest to be reached via the A4, A13 and A14 motorway and the national roads B 6, B 97, B 170, B 172 and B 173.
