Sachsen-Allee Chemnitz is one of the most beautiful shopping centres in Saxony. Its opening was on 15th October 1997 in the area of an ancient slaughterhouse situated right next to the future inner city circle. On two shopping levels with a shopping area of about 32 000 square metres more then 85 specialized shops from different branches are represented. With Media-Markt, H&M, SinnLeffers, Kaufland- department store, Esprit, Douglas, Intersport and a lot more there is something to be discovered for the whole family.
Because of an excellent connection with B 169, B 173, August-Bebel-Straße and the inner city circle the centre is reachable very fast and without any problems for 615 000 inhabitants. Parking in one of about 2000 parking spaces is free of charge. Bus lines 23, 50, 57 and national bus line 254 stop directly on Thomas-Mann-Platz.
